Las Vegas Tap Water Is Hard and Causes Damage To Your Swimming Pool
If you have been a follower of Clark County Pool & Lawn you are probably aware of our Pool Water Recycling division. For the last three years, we have been recycling swimming pool water in the Las Vegas area because our water is hard! Hard water is basically described by a high level of Calcium Hardness (CH) in your tap water. Basically, this means our water is loaded with calcium, magnesium, and other hardness minerals that causes issues to not only your home but your swimming pool as well. If you’ve seen hard water deposits on your water fixtures, glass, and counters, could you imagine what it is doing to your swimming pool?
From the first day, your pool was filled up with our tap water, it was already at the maximum recommendation for high levels of Calcium Hardness in your swimming pool. In the industry, the recommended levels of CH are between 200 – 400 parts per million (ppm) and our tap water are on average measured at 400ppm! So what does this mean? Well, simply put it means calcium will destroy your interior finish and filtration equipment. It also means that over time it will scale your water tile line, spillways, water features, and salt water chlorinator if you have one! Not to mention it will also scale your plumbing. This is a big-time problem and one that every swimming pool owner should familiarize themselves with because the longer you keep the hard water in your swimming pool the harder it is to remove and the more expensive it is to remove.
That is why at Clark County Pool & Lawn we highly recommend changing out the water in your swimming pool every two years and we also recommend using Reverse Osmosis filtration to do it! RO water is the best water and if used on a regular basis it will prolong the lifespan of your investment. Our mobile filtration service comes to your residential swimming pool and recycles the water onsite. Your pool water will travel in large hoses to our mobile filtration trailer where RO membranes lower Calcium Hardness, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Cyanuric Acid (CYA), Salts, Phosphates, and Waterborne Diseases without draining the swimming pool. This form of filtration will also give you better water than tap and most filtration jobs can be completed in less than a day. With our service, your water will not only look better but it will feel better too!
So, what are you waiting for? Why not swim in the best water today and protect the lifespan of your investment! We promise you will love our service and will be much happier swimming in drinking quality water!
